Plaid Elephant Cap Sleeve Dress
I'm a tall broad, so I love love love the maxi dress trend, and luckily I've found prints and colors that work for me. Since I'm not hippie chic or boho bangin', I need something louder and borderline obnoxious. Enter Joy Han's long tube dresses. Made from 100 percent silk and drenched in color, the bird print on this dress is so perfect I could pee.
Birds freak me out big time. I think they're gross. But for whatever reason I can't stay away from them when it comes to prints and accessories. Check out Joy Han's Peacock Puff Sleeve dress and the amazingly cute Owl necklace. I'd sell my first born for a shot at both.
Okay, I know I'm having a "stuck" moment. Stuck on gojane.com, plaid and birds. So, here's something new. I love the safari-style dresses, and anything with a high belt. Putting the VaVa in Voom, Joy Han has thrown everything together, hopefully showing the general fashion population that it doesn't have to sound like it's going to work to work. Smooshing babydoll, denim, belts and safari pockets together, these dresses are to die for.
Back to my plaid obsession. Remember the article on faking Dolce and Gabbana's plaid explosion? Well, I think it was Suze who started me on my downward-plaid-spiral. So, thank her. Anyway, Joy's also created a STUPID cute Tartan skirt with big ol' pockets and a high high waist.
I can't decide if it's watered-down neon yellow, or pastel yellow cracked out on neon... but I love it with the black. Cute sleeves, shoulder showing, and the deep deep black I love? Sold.
I'm gonna go ahead and stop here. You're gonna have to look for yourself. I've barely scratched the surface on all the fairly cheap cuteness. Look at the rest of her collection and I promise she'll be one of your new faves (if she's not already an old fave).
