Classic shoes from my youth are all grown up with new textures, colors, and heights. These shoes are versatile enough to go from responsible-yet-trendy at the office to flirty and fun for a night out.
Long Fringe

Seen on the likes of Kate Hudson, Kate Moss, and Nicole Richie, eyebrow grazing bangs were my favorite hair trend this year. They can be worn low maintenance, messy and help hide grown out layers, or they can be sophisticated and textured for an elegant updo.
Indigo Eyes

The classic smoky eye gets a modern twist with a sophisticated blend of shimmery blues and naughty navys. One of the hottest looks to emerge this year, an indigo smoky eye is great way to jazz up a tired makeup routine.
Lace Trend

Channel your inner '80s Madonna by accessorizing with some lace. Lace mini-dresses, headbands, bracelets, details on shoes, and camisoles added sexiness and texture to leather and menswear trends this year, proving to be a versatile fabric that looks good in and out of the covers.
Bold Nail Color Shades

If you can remember, 2007 was all about dark burgundies, eggplants, and garnets when it came to nail colors. This year saw the rise of deeply rich and bold colors, like midnight blue, orange reds, and glimmering golds. More upkeep than a French manicure, but much more fun.

Whether made out of straw or chenille, fedoras were my IT hair accessory of the year. They can add some classic cool to your outfit or cover up a bad hair day, all while keeping the sun off your face. Yes please.
Stacked Bangles

A great way to make an outfit yours this year was to stack bangles, mixing up textures like wood, lucite, and beads to personalize a look. They also lend a splash of color to an otherwise monochromatic outfit.
Menswear

For nights filled with dancing and drinking, I ditched the mini-skirts and dresses and borrowed from the boys. Pinstriped vests, tailored trousers, and tuxedo blazers abounded in my closet this year, lending a feminine flair by adding delicate details, some well-placed lace, and sexy heels.

Fedoras are cool but I don't know anyone who really wears those on a normal day. And the shag bangs look bad on a lot of people. I agree with Janine your lists are a little flip-flopped.
I think your lists are backwards! I think more of *these* are don'ts!
Fedoras can't go the way of the trucker hat because they didn't just blow up. They have been popular for the past 5 years or so.
I love fedoras, but wonder about their lasting power when it comes to the new year. Will it go the way of the truck hats?
Nice list. Although, I'm not much for the fedoras. How about sweater mini-dresses with leggings or tights and boots (booties or talls)?
