Tired of Your Wardrobe? Think Again!!!

Many of us have noticed that fall is just around the corner.  We're getting ready for new makeup looks, different skin preparation for chillier temps, and waiting for the moment to spring out the checkbook to bulk up on a new fall wardrobe. While savoring up the moment for new fall digs is a favorite of mine just remember that you don't have to!  Here are some tips for fall wear that can give you a very casual chic look as well as keep that spending down.

Don't get me wrong, I love shopping and splurging on new clothes but the best way to go is to mix old with new. Every so often I bring out clothes I had stashed away in storage bins or I take the clothes previously ignored from the outter end of my closet and rearrange them so they're in the middle. This way I see them more often and they get more usage. I get bored with clothes easily and love to thrift shop but one of the best ways to keep your wardrobe new is to mix and layer.

Layering is great for many reasons. You can change up your style without ever having to leave your bedroom.  Something I love to do is to wear some of my fancy schmancy work pants with a graphic tee, throw on some type of cardigan and accessories and I'm good to go. I love mixing business clothes with more casual styles. I feel it gives it a Park Avenue style with a tongue in cheek twist.

In this month's issue of Glamour magazine casual chic is a must have for Fall 08 and designer Patrick Robinson has some tips on layering for the fall season.

"You want to build your wardrobe with an arsenal of classic pieces--then layer and mix them up from week to week so you almost never have the same outfit on."

"Learn how to have fun with proportions; wear a mini about the same length as your long sweater. If you're being adventurous and trying a new style of jeans, pair them with something you already feel confident in - whether it's a structured shirt or a tanktop."

If you think two items are polar outfits put them on and see!! Play with colors, textures, and patterns. Be your own personal Carrie Bradshaw and see what you can come up with!
