It seems like everywhere that we look, budding fashionistas are awash in glamour. We admit that this research is pretty much confined to attending Fashion Week, tabloid reading, and watching The Hills. So, our reality-factor might be slightly skewed.
We absolutely heart the fashion-forward trends that designers love to send down the runway. However, it occurs to us that in these stressful economic times, a few problems are arising...
A size 0 might look foxy-fabulous in a show, but in reality, even the slightest bit of a curvy silhouette can be difficult when dealing with couture. We are the biggest fans of taking fashion from catwalk to sidewalk, but theatrical pieces rarely translate well. So, in real life, sometimes we have to become a little (gasp!) practical.
We positively adore look-at-me dresses and jewelry that makes a statement. However, in daily life we begrudgingly concede that show stopping ensembles are not always the best option, unless of course your name is Lauren Conrad.
Here at Sparkle*Shelf, we freely acknowledge that we are major offenders of every issue. And quite honestly, trotting about in stilettos is a major vice -- actually, it is something we all love. However, it often leaves our tootsies in serious pain.
Now, here is the good news. Do you want to sport those outfits that only look good on super models while wearing eye-catching threads and super-sized heels? Well, we have a way for you to do all of this without spending a fortune in a boutique. Play dress up online. It's absolutely fabulous, and we are hooked on Fashion Fantasy Game! Become a shop owner or a design your own creations -- either way, we have found this to be a decadent distraction to our day. Even better, we have come up with some pretty amazing outfits!

OK I might have to check out that game, as if I need another distraction from blogging! Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with show-stopping outfits, but I have never seen LC in something show-stopping in my life. She looks like every girl from high school, but just happens to have lots of money and helping hands with her wardrobe. If she was poor, I'm sure she'd dress like every other girl at the mall.
i've been playing this game for a while. OMG is it cool!
