There's a joke about my hometown, Portland, that if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes. That kinda goes for Madonna, too - if you don't like her style, wait for the next album. Madge. Esther. The Material Girl. She's never been afraid of completely uprooting her entire look each time she bangs out a new album (my own fave: Like A Prayer's chocolate brown hair and deep red lips).
Based on the boxer-gear she's been walking around in since Hard Candy debuted, and the Incredible Hulk Without The Green muscles she's got (side note: Do you think even her treadmill is like, "Enough, ok? Can I take a breather?"), I was expecting a fight-theme for this tour. Which it was...sort of...if you consider opening the show on a diamante "M" throne in a fringed black leotard and over-the-knee leather boots to be boxer-ey.
The threads for the Sticky and Sweet tour are big label, deisgned by Jean Paul Gaultier, Miu Miu, Givenchy, Stella McCartney, Yves Saint Laurent, Moschino.
I'll still be following the costumes for this tour. I have faith in you, Boxer Girl! Or Muscles Ciccone! Or Diamante Mama. Or whatever.

I've always been a fan of Madonna's earlier styles, because they were more playfully sexy as opposed to the dominatrix-scary sexy of late. My two fav looks are the "Who's That Girl?" pixie-cut/Marilyn-esque look or the original Madonna Boy Toy look. Yes, I had the lace head scarves and rubber bracelets.
