It's a Tie, Part II: How-To Tie a Scarf with Style

As mentioned with yesterday's post (It's a Tie) here are some of the best ways to wrap, tie, knot or otherwise rock that pashmina-style scarf in your wardrobe.

But before we get to the illustrations I think it's necessary to point out that sometimes the best way to wear a scarf is random. Try not looking in a mirror and draping, twisting and wrapping it around your neck in a way that feels comfortable. When you're done glance in the mirror and tweak. You're likely to get the most compliments on it when the wrap design is random.

Two other random suggestions. One: Instead of folding the scarf to tie it as instructed try bunching it together instead. It gives a more natural look. Two: When bunching your scarf you can make it so all the tassels are the same length on both sides or hold one corner of an end and slide your hand down the scarf so that the tassels are graduated at an angle. This works especially well with a long scarf to add a little dimension to it.

Ok now back to what Texere Silk is showing...

Casual: (This one is a personal favorite. It looks great every time.)

Casual Sleek:

Stylish Knot:

Rosette Turban: (I just think this pic looks cool, not sure how many people can pull it off.)

For the square scarf try the Neck Wrap style:
