I Broke Up With My Boyfriend For Nicholas Kirkwood

Ok, we all know my shoe fetish. And my fetish for design. However, I see architectural shoes and can only appreciate them for the effort that went into creating them. Normally I feel architectural design ruins the cuteness of the shoe, as I don't care to wear a building on my feet. So imagine my shock when I discovered Nicholas Kirkwood's Autumn/Winter 2008 collection was not only cute cute cute but architecturally beautiful.

 Distinctly feminine, yet blatantly futuristic.

This is a short post, but I thought everyone should know about Nicholas Kirkwood and about how his spring/summer 2008 line left me bored and impotent. Thank God for the Autumn/Winter collection saving Nicholas' ass and ruining my relationship. Shoes with wings, boots with extra oomph, and of course... snake skin heels. Check them out, and let me know what you think.

So, what do YOU think? Does good ol' Nick Kirkwood deserve the title of one of the UK's top designers? Are his batman-esque shoes as beautiful to look at as I think, or did I hit the crack pipe too hard?
