Creative director Wichy Hassan continued previous themes of 1970s, Boho chic à la plage at Miss Sixty Spring/Summer 2009. My European Coordinator and I both agreed that it was honest to the label, but a tad redundant from the previous two collections. Then again, who could tell, as models bolted down the Tent’s airstrip as if in a huge rush (after starting 45 minutes late) no thanks to the arrivals of Blake Lively and Rosario Dawson.
Nonetheless, Hassan expanded Miss Sixty's denim “anchor” with jean pants, jackets and skirts. Hippy Rose, grass and baby blue cropped everything--romper this and that--more visors and bangles galore! This all left a familiar flavor in my overwhelmed mouth, but to be fair, a silk organza halter dress with bubble hem and a coral twill trench with bracelet sleeves caught my eye… take it for what it's worth: funky, very marketable and molto Miss.
