It's been reported that Ashlee Simpson gave birth to her baby this weekend, although it's also been reported that her people are denying it.  All I know is that on last night's Total Request Finale (Sad! Anyone else feel really old seeing that show end?), dad-to-be Pete Wentz was absent, cited to be at the hospital with wife Ashlee.  Seeing adorable Ashlee with child totally gave me baby fever, but her clothes - always a little edgy and in perfect sync with Wentz - are even more enviable, whether or not they're covering a baby bump. 

Here (above) are Ashlee Simpson with her boyfriend (now hubby) Pete Wentz rocking some trends early.  While the leather jacket and black tights are technically classes, they are also definitely key looks for Fall 2008, and here the stylish couple is working them back in 2007.  I especially love the polo under Wentz's v-neck, making him look much more individual and much less like a douche.

LOVE Ashee Simpson's Louis Vuitton bag here, as well as her headband.  Pete wears a hoodie designed by himself.

Shown above dressed warm and casual in their respective skinnies and sneaks, Wentz wears a hoodie with a splash of color on the hood.  Ashlee wears a long scarf in similar colors, complementing her purple skinny jeans.  You'd be hard-pressed to find a color in one's outfit that isn't within the other's.  Not only are they perfectly coordinated, they are also perfectly coordinated with each other.

At right, Pete and Ashlee shown in a more formal setting.  Ashlee stays on the cusp of trends with a high waist and vampy painted toes.  Mr. Wentz jumps on the suspenders fad (as well as what looks like some feathers), while keeping his head warm with one of his fave accessories, a knit beanie.

Here in matching v-necks (LOL) and black pants, Simpson and Wentz keep it casual yet trendy.

I absolutely adore this couple's laidback style and how they completely dress their age.  The couple stays warm here in his signature beanie and her wraparound scarf.  Ashlee's outfits are always very youthful yet chic, and Pete's clothes are typically fun and colorful, from the skate-inspired street style shown above to his own line, Clandenstine Industries, sold at Nordstrom.

Even pregnant Ashlee Simpson looks relaxed and hippie adorable.  I can only hope their laid back (yet often high-priced!) style is passed on to Pete and Ashlee's baby.  The Clandenstine Industries line already includes some baby clothes.  I'm also crossing my fingers for bold graphic hoodies and funky headbands.
