I reached out to Othalia, who just moved to Costa Rica, and found out about the inspiration behind the blog and her plans for the future.
SS: What do you do professionally? Do you make money off the blog?
Othalia: Professionally, I work in online marketing. I am slowly making money off Lookbook. However, regardless of whether I made money on it or not, I would still be Lookbooking. It's somewhat addictive!
SS: How many hours a week do you spend working on the blog? Do you have plans for the future of lookbook?
Othalia: On average I probably spend 2-3 hours a day working on a Lookbook, which includes posting and finding ideas on what to write next, finding the pieces for the posting and putting it all together (right fonts, shading, etc. to make it all look nice). In the future, I want to move Lookbook away from the blogger platform and onto its own website where I'll have the opportunity to do more.

SS: What's your favorite part about working on it?
Othalia: My favorite part about working on Lookbook is when I have completed a posting and look at the whole story put together- the words, the layout, the format and fonts I used as well as the pieces I was able to find online. The big picture at the end is what keeps me motivated.
SS: What are the current trends that are your favorite?
Othalia: Wow...so many to choose from! Belting everything but the kitchen sink as well as pocketed and fitted tube dresses are my current top 2.
SS:Who are your celebrity style icons?
Othalia: Tory Burch (love that all American preppy chic), Rihanna for thinking outside the box, Jennifer Aniston for making a black t shirt and jeans look trendy.

SS: In your opinion what are the basics every woman should have in their wardrobe?
Othalia: A perfect pair of jeans, hot black heels, scarves galore, and a white tank top.
SS: If you could splurge on something now what would you buy?
Othalia: YSL platform pumps or Hermes Birkin (swoon).
SS: What other fashion sites, blogs do you look at on a regular basis?
Othalia: Luckymag, Elle, Red Carpet Fashion, Chic Intuition and Fab Sugar.
