ADAM LIPPES Opens His First Pop Up Shop!

We are positively crazy for designer Adam Lippes who recently took attendees of his Spring 2009 collection to... church!  Actually, the show was originally planned for an outdoor space, but torrential rain had other plans.  It all came together in a beautiful kaleidoscope of textures that was influenced by the MoMA's Color Chart exhibition.

As if all of this success wasn't enough, this designer recently opened up his first pop up store in Buffalo, NY.  The store will feature the fall and holiday collections along with fashion basics.  As for Lippes, the CEO commented, "I have always been fascinated by the idea of a pop up store in an outer market.  I particularly love Buffalo, since it is where I grew up and spent my formative years.  I can't wait to open this store."

As for our part, we are thrilled about the designer's new venture.  And on the QT, we hear that the Adam Lippes store in New York City is having a styling contest this weekend.

Here are a few of our favorite looks, because we just can't get enough of ADAM...

1. Hammered Silk Satin Gathered Dress

This party dress drapes just perfectly with the most gorgeous bow.  This detail softens the look of the ruching while creating visual interest.

2. Drop Sleeve Wrap Dress

This yarn knit sweater dress is blended with intensely fine merino and mohair wool.  We heart this wrap dress because it can be layered or worn over jeans for a more casual look.  This is the ultimate fall piece, and it should absolutely be in your closet.

3. Silk Shirt Dress

This unique dress has a painterly quality that was directly inspired by the exquisiteness of an open pomegranate.  It is just so adorable for a day out shopping, but it can still be dressed up with baubles to create an eye catching work-inspired ensemble.  The marigold color is the perfect shade of yellow that complements every woman's skin tone.  We think there is joyous quality in the piece that is enhanced by a coquettish silhouette and capped sleeves.
