bold lips

i love the whole red/pink bold lip look but i always find myself turning to standard clear and nude colored glosses.
i think what my problem is is that i dont know how to pull off bold colored lips.
i have very very very blonde hair,almost white,green eyes, and olive skin
is it even possible for me to pull off red/hot pink lips without looking like southern trash barbie?

Whenever the lip is bold, I like to make sure the skin is flawless and the eyes are light handed. Not too much blush or any dark eye makeup. A hint of shimmer on the lids and some waterproof (less flaky) mascara on the top lashes.

If you keep everything else down to a minimum--little or no blush, no eyeshadow or liner, just a few swipes of mascara--you should look great in bright red/pink lipstick.
