Are cowboy boots still an acceptable form of fancy footwear?

Living in  a city where almost everything goes its sometimes difficult for even the best dressed to consider whats in and whats out-so, are they in? Or are they out?

it's all how u wear them like sunshine said. they look great with a dark denim skinny or bootcut. with skirts or shorts be careful cuz you don't want to go too short or too retro. denim and ruffle skirts knee lenghth is perfect. dark blue denim shorts not too short.

It depends on how you wear them, but they are still in style where I am.
