should I cut it.JPG
new hair.JPG

Yeah, another "should I cut it " question. I have fairly thick, frizzy/curly hair down below my shoulders. As you can see, I have a somewhat low forehead and a widow's peak hairline. Right now, the only way I wear my hair is up in these silly clips, and then sometimes I put it into a pony tail. It's not a "look." What does Sparkleshelf suggest?

Follow up: so my stylist added a bunch of layers all around. Here's the result. We discussed adding bangs but decided to wait a few weeks. Thanks for all the help and feedback!

I got the cut, and it looks much better. Need to replace the batteries in my camera so that I can post a pic. Thanks everyone for caring about my hair!

My hair is super curly - except now that I chopped it all off - but I agree get some crazy layers added in at cheek level and down. That will give you a whole new look without losing the current length plus your hair will more curl on the top too since it is not being pulled down by the longer strands. Good luck! KT

Thanks, Amal! My haircut is on Thursday. I'll keep your ideas in mind and will probably just get more layers while keeping as much of the lenght as possible. Will post a pic!

Helllo!
I used to have hair like yours, but it was really really long, like below my waist long.
i cut it cause i was sick of the frizzyness, and i just couldnt control it! i really wished i hadnt cut it tho. i miss my long hair.
i dont think you should cut it, just try and find out different ways to style it! after i got my hair cut, i realized all the different ways i could have done my hair when it was long! its very upseting haha. Just play around and see what you like, and maybe your husband will like it too! i feel like your beautiful face can still look nice with whatever you do with your hair, so dont be scared to try something new!

Hi Laura, thanks so much for your suggestion. I don't have chin-length layers at the moment. Honestly, the main problem is my dear husband. He doesn't like my hair "all crazy" or "in my face." Since I'm never quite sure what he means by the former, I just keep it pulled back and out of my face. I think that the only way to keep it from looking "all crazy" is getting a drasticly layered, much shorter cut. Or just get a divorce...kidding. Really. And thanks for the comment about my glowing face. Made my day.

Hi Liz I think your hair is gorgeous! As a straight haired person I look longingly at curls and waves the way I look at my UPS man, as in, 'boy, you look so good and I'll never have you!" (I am happily married :) )
Do you have any shorter layers in the front? Like at the cheek level? Taking the weight off around your face will lighten the load so to speak and perhaps you wouldn't have to pin the hair back away from your glowing face. I think your overall length is very flattering and I say don't get a shorter cut. That is just my 2 cents. Have a good day.
