You know when you get obsessed with a product and have to have it RIGHT NOW? This past weekend, I needed Juice Organics ASAP because: a) I’m still looking for my next great cleanser, b) it’s about time I tried certified organic skin care, and c) Juice Organics is a drugstore adaptation brought to us by rapidly rising star Juice Beauty.

Juice Beauty is one of the most visible natural and organic beauty brands thanks to having a prominent placement in Sephora stores. I’ve admired these prettily packaged beauties from afar, but I’m not quite ready to shell out the big bucks.

The lower cost of Juice Organics is made possible by using less variety of juices and less concentrated active ingredients. I could be wrong, but I think the Brightening line is an interpretation of the Juice Beauty Green Apple line. The cleansers are the same color (think fresh apple juice), and the promised effects are similar. A great thing about Juice Organics is that it’s chockfull of buzz ingredients like glycolic acid, Vitamin C, coenzyme Q10, peptides, and antioxidants.

Aside from budget considerations in this flailing economy, I see Juice Organics as a starter product. I’m kind of dating the brand to see if I want to be in a relationship with it, or if I want to take it to the next level with Juice Beauty. Of course, things can go horribly wrong, and it might not be right for me at all. But my fingers are crossed.

I ended up ordering online, my products arrived today, and I can’t wait to try them. First impressions: the strong scent is off-putting and smell-sensitive people probably won’t take to it. I’m going to keep an open mind though, because I want these to work out. I have run out of my stash of random samples and have been splashing little more than water on my face for months. My dull skin is very, very thirsty. I’ll report back in a month on my progress.
