Cold Weather Skin Cleansers ~ Part 2

Hello Ladies,

I’m back with part 2 of my cleansers post, ready to dispense more cleanser info for all of you skin care junkies. They (who are ‘they,’ actually??) say cleanliness is next to zen-ness or some such thing, so making sure you use the right cleanser is the core of getting your skin to that place of real beauty. I was in Sephora the other day with my fabulous mother and we were talking with the manager about mascaras. We had a great convo about that, then we talked about skin, and we all agreed that good skin is more important than any cosmetic you can apply!

Here’s a new list of cleansers for you to try:

Bliss the Youth as we Know it Cleanser

Described as ‘combining a secret stay-on moisture complex that slows water evaporation and binds hydration to the skin all day with ingredients known to stimulate cellular renewal, increase oxygenation, and improve elasticity and tone’ it sounds like a facial in a bottle, and that is pretty much what it is.

Aveeno Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser

I always love Aveeno for the simple reasons that it is inexpensive and very good. This foaming wash contains an extract of feverfew, a natural ingredient related to chamomile. You can’t go wrong with this.

Dermalogica Ultracalming Cleanser

An esthetician recommended this to me as she said my skin was dehydrated. I treat my oily t-zone with the Overnight Clearing Gel and so far it’s a match made in heaven.

Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

Perfect for combination skin. Wheat protein, bergamot, spearmint and lavender combine to pamper skin without overdrying or over-moisturizing. The creamy formula is soothing to skin, too.

Kinara Rehydrating Cleanser

This effectively conquers makeup and skin clogging gunk without irritating already sensitive skin. They also have a spa in West Hollywood so check it out if you’re in the area.

I tend to have ADD when it comes to skin stuff and I am always wanting to try what’s new, but I find that lately I am more likely to stay with what is working for the time being. I am trying to be more loyal to the products that give me real results. I also have to constantly remind myself that these things need time to work and that I can’t try something once and say if it is truly great for me. Patience is a virtue, so ‘they’ say, and I guess some days I am just less virtuous than others.
