Our History

Sparkle*Shelf is based in Seattle, WA, and was founded in 2008 by Marie Thacker and Andrew Smith as an effort to provide an exciting new beauty & style community to tech-savvy gals everywhere.

A product junkie herself, Marie found there was not a credible one stop destination for beauty tips, how-to's, product reviews, fashion trends, questions & answers, and social networking. The overall vision of Sparkle*Shelf from the very beginning is to create a full-featured community that becomes the premier place to interact and learn about  trends, products, and connect with other beauty & fashion addicts.
