The Manish Arora collection for MAC cosmetics was launched in early October, but it's both still on my wishlist and continuing to inspire me with its exotic hues and bold packaging.  Designer Manish Arora appeared in the very first Indian Fashion Week and has a flagship store in New Dehli.  Along with his own lines, he is collaborating with shoe brand Reebok, becoming the first Indian designer to partner with a multinational sports brand.  The style is heavily influenced by traditional Indian patterns, but with a strong urban vibe, and the colors in his clothes are every bit as vivacious as the colors in his makeup.  I can't get enough.

Manish Arora's makeup shades are vibrant, primarily cool colors, perfect for medium skin tones as shown, although definitely not limited to the olive-skinned set.  The MAC line includes two Lipglass shades, two shades of Powder Blush, two lipsticks, and two "Eyes on Manish" eye shadow compacts.  All of these are worth owning for the exquisite packaging alone.

I (*gasp*) don't have a single MAC cosmetic in my current makeup arsenal and it's frankly doubtful I'll ever own anything from this Manish Arora makeup line.  Still, I take the bright-colored inspiration and will be stocking up on similar hues for my spring makeover.  For like color palettes that won't totally break your budget, I recommend going frugal with L'Oreal H.I.P. eye shadows or try this Pop Beauty palette in Lid Neon.

As much as I love gothy fall fashion and dark, smoky makeup looks, I am excited for spring to bust out some bright floral patterns and gaudy bling.
