Holiday Glam: Drama Queen Makeup Look

If you aren’t afraid of a bright, bold lip and are usually the life of the party, your holiday look is probably “Drama Queen!” Bold eyes, bright pops of color, and traces of glitter define this dramatic makeup look for holiday 2008. Don’t forget your smile and a fun party dress!

Katy Perry makeup holiday 2008

Here, Katy Perry is dolled up with bright pink lips and cheeks, bold black lashes, and metallic glitter eyeliner. Lucky for those that adore this look, Katy’s makeup can be easily replicated using many drugstore makeup items! Who says you can’t be glam and frugal?

FACE: When pulling off bright makeup colors, be sure to fully conceal any imperfections with a comfortable, matte foundation such as Clinique Perfectly Real powder compact.

LIPS: Apply a bright pink lippie with bluish undertones such as MAC Lipstick in Girl About Town. To keep the color from bleeding, optionally line and/or fill in your lips first with a matching lip pencil.

CHEEKS: Cover Girl Cheekers Blush in Plumberry Glow is a perfect subtle pink accent to your bright pink lips! Apply to apples of cheeks and blend well.

EYES: Trace a glittery eyeliner such as Sephora Brand Glitter Eye Pencil in Silver Electro across your top and bottom lash line. Curl your eyelashes. Apply a couple coats of Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara in Very Black. Using Ardell Accent Lashes in #305, apply these half-lash strips to the outer edges of your eye for added drama.
