(Added bonus: all of these shadows can be applied wet and used as a DOPE eyeliner.)
I lay in bed for two weeks and watched Pam, Girl on the Loose on OnDemand like it was officially my job. I sat there and realized the black eyeshadow I wear constantly is going to be (probably already has been) worn by tweeners and prom goers. I can't stand for this, so I'm gonna switch it up all winter long with bright pigments and neon colors. My first stop is Medusasmakeup.com, offering amazing pure pigment powders and insane lipglosses.
My new look Friday night look:
Medusa's Red Baron swept from the inner corner of my lid to the center.
Blended beautifully into this Coral Reef color starting from the center all the way to the outer corner of the eye.
So I lied, loose dust so black you can't even see it in the picture is going to top off my Friday look for a blast of complete contrast, plus that whole cat eye effect.
The eyes will obviously be completed with black eyeliner and tons of mascara, as I'm into that whole "you wear too much makeup" look. Add a little rouge on the cheeks and some powder to refrain from shineyness. I figure I'll leave out all of the shimmer I normally wear, since it would look ridiculous and make the whole thing too much.
Slapping on this bubble gum flavored neon pink Loverboy lipgloss, and I'm ready to go.
Side note: I was concerned that the whole red eyeshadow thing would make me look tired, but then I realized I am tired, so at least it's not false advertising.
Hopefully, after a banana and a Gatorade (thanks, ex-boyfriend, for the tip) I'll be ready to go again Saturday night. Which is great as I've been dying to try MAC's Mineralize Eyeshadow Duos. They're marbled and beautiful, and hopefully I can stay minimal on the blacks and purples. (Doubt it.)
I'm not on a red-specific kick, but this Hot Contrast look is amazing to me. All the colors of an erupting volcano MUST be representative of SOMETHING, right?
This is probably the one I'll choose, though. The whole '80s blue look has always been hot to me, and these insanely blendable, or separate colors are amazing. Anyone up for beers and Bon Jovi?
Those of us girls with minimal responsibilites, like no babies, no boyfriend and no weekend work, tend to stay in bed all day Sunday and recover. I personally feel better if I get up and go about my day as if I don't want to vomit all over. The only thing stopping me is the BUSTED way I look, and the lack of desire to change it. Enter Thevi makeup. Its description as "ethnic" makeup should never be a turn off to "non-ethnic" girls, or boys for that matter. And daring pigments don't always mean neon.
The Orchids in Bloom look is my personal Sunday favorite. Light, but high pay off, pinks make a fresh-faced look for us girls who aren't so fresh anything.
Coming up with new looks daily isn't as hard as you'd think, as long as you give yourself some practice time. Remember, nothing is more boring than the same old makeup day in and day out. Trust me, I blame my writer's block for it.

With this article in mind, I stopped a beauty supply store on the way to work and purchase two mini palettes of super bright eyeshadows --$1.99 each! The brand name is LA Colors. I purchased the palette Tease and the palette Wildflowers. I can't wait to wear them!!!
Yay!! You're back!! And I see you're still all 'Korey and the Technicolor Eyeliner', so I'm not too terribly worried about the permanant state of your sanity.
I would totally wear the bright colors. I was looking at my palette of oh so safe colors this morning and almost fell asleep. I want to wear bright blues and vibrant purples. Turquoise and grey! My wardrobe is boring but should my eyes be as well? Have you heard of Barry M Cosmetics?
Jealous. I'm allergic to red/pink pigments in makeup, so I can't rock that hotness. Lancome has a superlegit liquid eyeliner in "Cranberry" (an awesome maroon shade) that would totally hook up that look.
