Contrary to popular belief, purple eyeshadows can be beautifully wearable by nearly anyone, regardless of skin tone or age. The trick is to keep the color below your crease and balance the intensity with eyeliner and mascara. Also, choose purple eyeshadow hues that will complement your individual skin tone. When deciding what to do with lips to accompany purple eye makeup, try opting for a soft coral lip color.Silvery purple eyeshadows as well as shimmery shades of purples and lilacs look stunning against fair skin. Keep cheeks subtle with a sheer, rosy blush. Add brown or black mascara and eyeliner (brown for blonde and red hair, black for dark hair).
To avoid purple eyeshadow clashing with olive skin tones, use matte, subdued shades of purple, including pastels. These shades also make brown and green eyes pop. Give cheeks a swipe of a sheer, peachy blush.
I am in this category, and I am totally in love with deep, plum-y purples as well as shimmery lilacs. For cheeks I like to contour with a deep brown powder then apply a coral blush to the apples of your cheeks.
