Summer and Fall are prime times for travel, but before hitting the beach, exploring new cultures, or just plain relaxing is the task of figuring out how to travel with less baggage. I used to be able to fit all my makeup in my purse – a pressed powder, lip gloss…and that’s pretty much it. But these days it’s hard to whittle down my choicest train case goodies into a small makeup bag.

There are a few things I cannot live without and will make room for, like my BE mineral foundation and makeup brushes. Lucky for us, there are tons of airplane-friendly makeup options even for carry-on bags. Sephora has a whole section on their website where they break it down and make it easy! So here are my top picks to stay pretty without totally roughing it.

Getting travel sets is a great way to try out new products that you have been curious about. Caudalie’s normally steep price is as compact as the diminutive versions of their popular products.
