I'm fortunate enough to be able to go bare-faced, most of the time... but occasionally I'm having an oil-day (By oil I mean vodka seeping through my pores from the night before). I've decided there's no reason to downsize your compact, because you'll just end up having to replace it like...weekly. However, remember that rice-paper craze to remove shine from your face? Well, let's resurrect that and start using rice-based foundations.

Never fear, foundations are portable too. Cargo comes up with brilliant "Makeup to Go's" all the time. Liquid Powder by Cargo is an awesome liquid cover-up that has the mattifying goodness of a powder. It even slips inside my pen holder in my purse.

Of course we wouldn't be made up without a little rouge, right? Peep Too Faced Cosmetics' kitsch hand-baggable eyes, lips and cheek palettes. Adorable, affordable and guaranteed discretion (This isn't enough eye shadow choices for me, but the blushes are great).

Once again, thank God for Cargo. The Cargo Color Cards are amazing, and the tin they come in is reusable. As small as a credit card, they slip easily into anywhere in your bag, wallet included.

Burjois is a busy girls best friend. They've come up with an adorable mascara that hooks on your keychain (or belt loop if you're one of those girls.)

During the week I just slather on my E.L.F. Coconut Craze Lipgloss with my finger, but when I'm out trying to be a bar star I like to get a little more artsy on my mouth. Here is (was) my problem. I'm guilty of just throwing things willy-nilly in my purse, and as Lord knows what gets stuck to my lip-brushes when they're just strewn about in the bottom of my bag I feel like I shouldn't put them on my lips. Cargo has helped me out again with this cute lipbrush with stainless steel cover, so nothing sticks to my lipbrush any more.

I didn't put any eyeliners in this whole thing because I use pencil, so for you girls who use pencil eyeliners, here's my tip. Buy two of whatever eye liner you buy, keep one at home in your big makeup bag, and break the other one in half, sharpening both ends. Now not only do you have seriously portable eyeliners, you have four of them. Plus a big one at home for when you have time to get slutted-up.
So go, ladies, and stop using your rearview mirrors to check your blind spot. Check your makeup instead. Good luck every other driver on the road!

Dude! Speaking of hairdryers that plug in (and oh hey, battery powered flat irons? Yes please!), did you know the Toyota Matrix actually has a two prong plug in it!? My friend has it and she just always has perfect hair because she can take her hair styling tool EVERYWHERE. SOOOOOO JEALS.
A hair dryer that plugs into your car lighter you say?

Buy two and gimme one, then we can see how many times we can get pulled over... we'll turn it into a game and keep score till March. Loser buys drinks.
Thanks!! Now if only I could find a blowdryer that plugs into my cigarette lighter...
I gave the Cargo cards as a gift one year, and I wish I had kept it for myself. In retrospect, I like playing with eyeshadows too much to ever use one until the end. The Cargo cards would have given me a chance to use up one set of colors and go to the next one without guilt.
My fav pick are perfume mini samples - throw a few in the bag for spritz touch-ups.
Legit. My only problem with Too Faced "the Chronicles" series is that they melt and the lipglosses seep into each and and it just becomes a huge hot mess. I prefer to hook it up with the Nars Multiple in Portofino. Works on cheeks, eyes, and lips. Oh baby.
