Nine times out of ten I'm far too hungover to do everything I need to do to get pretty. I refuse to skip a shower or go without a good blowdry. While I live in a small city and usually don't have the luxury of a 40 minute traffic jam to tart myself up, the lovely girls from San Diego wanted to know if there are any seriously portable products that can fit inside damn near any purse. I'm always up for downsizing my bar bag, so I've done a little digging to find what I'm calling Traffic Jam Makeup.

 Compacts are compact enough.

I'm fortunate enough to be able to go bare-faced, most of the time... but occasionally I'm having an oil-day (By oil I mean vodka seeping through my pores from the night before). I've decided there's no reason to downsize your compact, because you'll just end up having to replace it like...weekly. However, remember that rice-paper craze to remove shine from your face? Well, let's resurrect that and start using rice-based foundations.

During the week I just slather on my E.L.F. Coconut Craze Lipgloss with my finger, but when I'm out trying to be a bar star I like to get a little more artsy on my mouth. Here is (was) my problem. I'm guilty of just throwing things willy-nilly in my purse, and as Lord knows what gets stuck to my lip-brushes when they're just strewn about in the bottom of my bag I feel like I shouldn't put them on my lips. Cargo has helped me out again with this cute lipbrush with stainless steel cover, so nothing sticks to my lipbrush any more.

I didn't put any eyeliners in this whole thing because I use pencil, so for you girls who use pencil eyeliners, here's my tip. Buy two of whatever eye liner you buy, keep one at home in your big makeup bag, and break the other one in half, sharpening both ends. Now not only do you have seriously portable eyeliners, you have four of them. Plus a big one at home for when you have time to get slutted-up.

So go, ladies, and stop using your rearview mirrors to check your blind spot. Check your makeup instead. Good luck every other driver on the road!
