Last month I cut my hair into a bob. (I would show you a picture but I am not photogenic. If I happen to get a good one I will share.) I was bored with my long layered style and was tired of looking into the mirror thinking that certainly my hair could look better. Beautiful women like Gywneth Paltrow, Anne Hathaway and Camilla Belle have all taken their locks to shorter lengths lately and chances are they paid big bucks when they decided to take the haircut plunge.

Ever thought about getting extensions? It's the rage with celebrities who seem to have a different hair length nearly every time they are photographed. Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, and Katie Holmes have all been photographed with extensions. But I never in my life even considered that as an option. I have thick, unnaturally coarse hair, so I’ve come to regard frizzy hair as just a daily part of life. I’ve tried just about every new product out there in an attempt to thwart the unruly nature of my tresses and win the battle of the bad hair day, to no avail.
From shampoos and serums to lotions and potions, I’ve pretty much resigned myself to the fact that there is just no miracle product that will give me the lush, silky, smooth and shiny hair of the goddesses (which, if you happen to be one of those lucky ladies who don’t have this battle to bear, know just how lucky you truly are). However, I did find a few products that seemed to help soothe the savage beast and give me hope for the hair care future as well as a couple that left me less than luscious locks.
