Who or what has most influenced your style, and why? 

Madonna has influenced my style a great deal.  There is something to be said about fitness and getting older gracefully.  It's commendable.  Her image changes with each project and she owns it.  After all isn't that the essence of style - individuality.  Madonna is in touch with the underground stylistas and gives them a voice through her mainstream power.  She is also a mom and a pop icon--something to aspire to.  Madonna is never boring as style should never be.
 

What trends and designers do you love right now?

Trend:  Liquid Leggins.  It spices up your wardrobe and never fail to bring out your inner diva. 

Designer: Marc Jacobs.  I love his plaid, floral and ruffle dresses.  His line exudes chic sophistication.  His classic pieces easily complement your plans for a night out.  His cardigan cashmere sweaters are cozy without compromising your flirty feminine style.
 

What was your style like in High School? (a photo would be a HUGE bonus!)

Trendy yet comfortable.  Bangles, slicked baby hair, urban designer jeans, girly t's with a message, Classic Airforce Ones or the latest pair.  Living in New York City, you gotta keep it hot! You were forced to keep an eye on your school books as well as the teachings of the very proud street fashionistas.
 

What's your favorite bargain item in your closet?

A fitted velvet jacket with silver buttons from Anthropoligie.  You can dress it down or up.  A classic.  One piece - lots of style.
 

What beauty products are in your bag right now?

Origins facial Modern Friction--it keeps my skin from getting a dull look between facials.  Plus the secret weapon - Great Lash Mascara.  Mac Lipgloss, never comes off.
 

You're on a trip and the airline lost your luggage. What 3 items do you rush out to buy right away?

Oil of Olay daily regenerating serum, Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick.  Moisture is key and of course my secret weapon - Great Lash Mascara.  No need to retouch.
 

Have you changed your personal style along with your success?

Yes, I prefer the white T, jeans and sneakers but I do sacrifice and throw on beautiful heels and go glam for my fans.  I love playing dress-up.
 

What's the most surprising thing you've learned in your profession so far?

Fans pay very close attention to your style.  They will remind you that you have a responsibility to them and to fashion.  If you change your hair style, they will notice and quickly go on your myspace and comment without hesitation or mercy LOL.  Their voices shine through you.
 

What are 3 things most people don't know about you?

I spend hours in the steam room and bribe my family members for gift certificates for a spa treatment.  I love to giggle.  I derive inspiration for a song from the smallest of things, for example, a simple conversation, a tv commercial, a flower, a child's laughter.
 

Any words of wisdom for those trying to break into your profession? 

Be original. Never compromise your sound or sense of style.  No one wants to hear or see a carbon copy of another major recording artist.
