Rocker Chic with Drew Barrymore
One of the cutest trends that's coming back for this spring is Rocker Chic. Combining some elements from last year's Hippie Chic trend with great vintage pieces, you can create a look that's both cute, functional, and fun.
Take a few cues from Drew Barrymore when it comes to the Rocker Chic trend. The newly platinum blonde actress puts together several basic pieces with several statement pieces for a great take on this trend.
Drew Barrymore is someone whose style I've always admired and who I think has been incredibly underrated as a fashion icon. She's tends to stay away from very trendy items and instead wears whatever she likes. What better person could there be to take fashion tips from than someone as cute, bubbly, and confident in their style as Drew?
One thing I love about this look is that it isn't too matchy-matchy. Brown boots, dark black jeans, a faded black tee, and a gray cardigan all help lend to the vintage vibe. A great plain cardigan is something that we all need in our closets because it can be worn with anything. From skirts to dresses to vintage band t-shirts, a classic cardigan covers all the bases. Black jeans seem to be a love it or hate it kind of thing. While I personally am not too crazy about the black jeans and brown boots combination, I think that it works really well in this outfit. It keeps it from looking too put together.
Drew picked accessories that are as classic as her Judas Priest t-shirt. The avaitor sunglasses, earrings, and knitted scarf all help lend to the vintage appeal of this look. And, of course, so does Drew's trademark peace sign. Keeping her hair and makeup natural and minimal was definitely the way to go with such bold accessories.
