Pink Beauty Fall Collection

Pink Beauty Lipstick

When I received my sample of Pink Beauty Fall 2008 Makeup, I was a little bummed at having to acknowledge and write about summer's end.  By July, designers and fashionistas havemoved onto fall styles, if not winter looks.  I'd rather spend my summer by the pool and scramble to catch up on autumn trends just after the back-to-school sales start.  Luckily, Pink Beauty's line will be great when the leaves start falling, but also works for the two whole remaining months of sunshine.

Pink Beauty LipstickFor Fall, PB suggests a glamorous Old Hollywood combo of pale eyes with cherry cheeks and a bold red pout.  Although major red lips are not something I can pull off - what with my problem skin and tendency to smudge my makeup like a five-year-old - Pink Beauty's Luscious Lip Sheer Lipstick is one of if not the best lipstick I've ever used.  Moisturizing and incredibly smooth in texture, this stick did not dry out my lips the way most lipsticks tend to.  The color I used wasn't bold red, but it was a lot darker than I'm used to wearing.  Upon seeing a photo of myself in the shade I realized how great it really looked.  My lips looked naturally dark and invisibly outlined into a perfect pout.  A dab of their gloss (which I will admit, could do to taste better) in the center of my lip made for a great look for any season, but I can definitely picture it as cold winds blow in and I'm leaving a sexy pink 'kiss' on the rim of my Starbucks cup.

Another PB product I tried and loved was their Cream Radiance Rouge.  I can only imagine how great this would look on perfect skin, but even on my complexion it looked fierce.  Even when I applied too much, it blended in naturally, truly looking as though I was simply blushing or had just come in out of the sun.

Pink Beauty Rouge
For the rest of summer, the dramatic look of dark lips and cheeks can be downplayed by blending the rouge with bronzer and keeping the lips juicy.  While I might skip the gloss in the fall, the lipstick is flirty and laidback when coated in the shiny stuff - try a flavor-packed drugstore gloss in a bubblegum or strawberry flavor to stay in keeping with your summer 'tude.

Pink Beauty's Eye Splendor Shadow is perfect for all seasons and has major lasting power.  It blends into bronzed skin to subtly accentuate a summer eye, or could easily add sultry drama to a romantic face in a few months when we're all bundled in scarves and flirting with hot male baristas.

I'm not ready for summer to end just yet, but it's nice to know that Pink Beauty has my look covered the moment my tan begins to fade.

  1. Yumm I want all of that. I like the idea of pale eyes and bold lips and cheeks for fall. Hopefully I'll be able to pull it off. lol

I like the idea of the old glamour look, but I guess I'm not pale enough to pull it off. lol. Seriously, is it wrong to buy make-up just for the pretty package?
