Sock It To Me! Would You Wear This?
Socks to your fashion style is what undies are to limo-exiting celebs: not considered necessary. How many times has buying that perfect head-to-toe outfit NOT included the purchase of socks?
Socks as anything other than a functional element to style is almost mythological, isn't it? Minisock might change that. Just when you thought you'd clean run out of interesting ways to hook up socks and shoes (uh, not that you spent much time thinking about that one), Minisock is launching what I guess I'll call "decorative socks" to jazz up pumps and heels.
While I haven't taken the plunge buyer-wise, I admit I'm oddly attracted to these. Minisock has a good selection of styles on their website, but don't bother with the store locator bit - if you want your own pair of these, shopping online is the only way to go.
And, as long as you're killing time online reading up on weird sock trends, mosey over to photographer Stacy Greene's collection of "end of life" lipsticks. Wow. Not only do I no longer feel so weird about my lipstick application habits...but I see three of my own "styles" there.
LMAO on the lipsticks, and I would totally rock the socks! In fact, I have definitely cut strange styles out of nylons before and worn as socks with heels!
