Kat Von D Beauty and Style Inspiration
Like talented tattooist Kat Von D is how I'd want to look if I were a lot more high-maintenance. While her style appears very much laid back rock 'n' roll, don't kid yourself - her makeup is always dramatic yet flawless (although when shown on her reality show L.A. Ink sans makeup, she still looked gorgeous), her eyebrows are immaculate, and her heavily tattooed body is in great shape. She's a definite inspiration for those of us who strive to be edgy, tatted, but still very feminine and, well, pretty. Although I think everyone should have at least one tattoo, it's not a requirement for stealing the beauty's style.

Very much current and edgy, Von D's makeup look is also a throwback to glam metal. While most beauty mags advise doing up a bold eye or a bold lip, Kat often opts for both, and has brilliant results. Including lip colors, liquid liner, eye shadows, a set of brushes, and even a studded cosmetics case, her line makes it easy to acheive her always-glamorous looks.

Kat Von D's style is more rocker than trendy, but her outfit here looks very current, including black pants so tight they could pass for leggings, paired with a stacked boot. The top passes for her career and locale, although I spy Kat Von D under-boob! The whole look is topped with a bold lip and siggy sunnies.
What sets Kat apart from the rest, especially the rest of celebs everyone knows by name, is her individual style. Admittedly, being yourself isn't hard when you're surrounded by a posse of similarly styled women. (My fave was Pixie Acia, although she's no longer on the show.) Still, in a town full of abundant pressure to fit in, Kat chooses to stand out, stunningly.
