Buy PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness & Prevention
Quick facts: Every three minutes, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. Approximately 1% of new breast cancer cases are diagnosed in men. Breast cancer ranks second among cancer fatalities in women (first being lung cancer, but we all know how bad smoking is for health and beauty – right?)
There is not currently a cure for breast cancer, nor can it be prevented. This is why early detection is important by way of mammogram screening; an early detection of breast cancer is more easily treated. Also, maintaining a healthy body weight and engaging in regular physical activity, as well as restricting alcohol consumption, can reduce your risk of breast cancer.
What can we do to strive for a cure?
Buy PINK during the month of October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As if I personally need an excuse to buy pink beauty items and other gear… at least I know that I can contribute to a worthy cause!
