Battle of the Body Scrubs

If your shower scene looks anything like mine, there are body washes, hair products, and face and body scrubs stacked here, there, everywhere. One good glance into my shower, however, proves that I am an utter fanatic of body scrubs. I love them and have many of them and I am always open to try another. Low end, high end, sugar scrubs, salt scrubs…I’ve tried them all. I present to you some of my favorites and a mini go-to guide if you’re on the hunt for a new, good body scrub that will exfoliate and soften your skin:

St. Ives Swiss Formula Apricot Scrub

In case you’re thinking, “But this is a face scrub!”…It is, but I’d rather use it on my elbows and knees. Only gentler scrubs come near my face but St. Ives Apricot Scrub is perfect for polishing those dry knees and elbows. This scrub contains “100% natural exfoliants” and pure Swiss glacial water. Try the &nbsp;</p>">Blemish & Blackhead Control version if you want to get rid of bacne (back acne). St. Ives Apricot Scrub is a drugstore staple and favorite of many.

Pure Bliss Essentials Foaming Bath Scrub

This is a lovely, moisturizing salt body scrub at an affordable price. It moisturizes with shea butter, soothes with aloe vera and chamomile, and contains vitamin E as an antioxidant. If you love smells you'll love this scrub (and anything else from the Pure Bliss Essentials line of products) because they will scent it with any smell you choose from their fragrance selection. I’ll take anything I can customize! This is my daily body scrub that I use all over. My skin feels smooth and soft all day and I find myself applying less body lotion.

True Blue Spa Need a Margarita? Citrus Body Scrub

As soon as you open the jar of this citrusy scrub in a steamy shower, your first reaction will be “Mmmmm.” That is, if you don’t mind that you’ll be fiend-ing for a real margarita straight out of the shower. It smells that good. This scrub is great particularly if you have dry, scaly skin. It is a sugar and salt scrub but is loaded with “exotic oils.” I’d also invest in a shower mat if you don’t already have one because you may find yourself slipping and sliding about after rinsing this scrub away. True Blue Spa's Margarita body scrub is lovely, though. Try it.

C.O. Bigelow Lemon Sugar Body Scrub

This is great stuff! It is a perfect combo of sweet, lemony smell (a perfect pick-me-up for your morning shower), perfectly coarse scrub, and moisturizing oils. I use this scrub after cleansing and before shaving for a smooth shave and smooth skin that just laps up my body lotions. They must have whipped this up in C.O.’s own apothecary because this scrub is perfection! It contains “pure white and brown sugars, skin-brightening lemon extracts and finely crushed natural lotus flower and fruit seeds.” All-natural fans will love this also because it has no added fragrances nor artificial coloring. I found this body scrub gem in the checkout line at Bath & Body Works (clever of them, eh?)

The Body Shop's Mango + Origin's "Paradise Found" also both smell like Hawaii. Ugh, I think I need to go shopping ASAP.

Ah! Everything you listed I own and use currently. Way to go. I love them all but have been on a kick with the C.O. Bigelow's lemon scrub simply because it was on sale for SO cheap at Bath & Body Work's clearance rack. Not only does it work but it smells sooo yummy.
