Summer is all about light and fresh, and citrus epitomizes this whether you're sipping your lemonade or soaking your hair in it for some natural highlights.  Citrus also makes a great fragrance, and the light yet distinct notes can help you feel clean and refreshed on the sweatiest of days.  In warmer weather, perspiration causes perfume and the like to dissipate more rapidly, which means you can give youself a couple extra squirts of that lemon- or grapefruit-based product.

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Butter is my favorite lotion for summer.  I've tried cheaper brands of body butter in the same scent, but The Body Shop really does offer the richest and best-smelling butter.  It is impossible to not feel pampered while slathering on this lotion.  The only downside is that it doesn't go a long way, so stock up on this and other scents during one of The Body Shop's many sales. 

Pure Bliss Essentials Lime Sugar Supreme fragrance is my current obsession.  Any of the Pure Bliss Essentials' products can be made in this scent.  I absolutely love the shower scrub, although make sure you use it before shaving, as the lime will sting freshly-razored legs.  The scent also works great in the luscious Goat Creme and with one application the scent stays put all day.  Try this fragrance as a fresh hair mist, or try one of the many other citrus fragrances on the website, including variations of Lemongrass & Sage, Bergamot Grapefruit and Cool Citrus Basil.

I first smelled So Pink body spray by The GAP when my uber-emo senior prom date wore it back when I was in high school.  The website describes it as "a fresh blend of citrus grapefruit and floral notes of fresh lily and sweet pea."  I can tell you firsthand it goes great with good tequila and clove cigarettes.  This spray is just sweet enough to cover up the smell of last night's hangover and make life worth living again.  You can find a small size for under $7 at The GAP, pick up the full size bottle for $12.50, or even find the full-on perfume version if you want something heavier.
