Let me just begin by dishing to you Sparkle*Shelf Belles that this has been one hell of a rollercoaster week in my relationship with my makeup. A quick condensed version of the ups and Debbie-downs:
Sunday:
Time to leave Los Angeles! We smash everything back into our suitcases and hit the road, back towards San Francisco. Half way home I realize my makeup never made its way into my bag and that I’m too far gone.
Let it be known that E.L.F. brushes and applicators are also only one dollar, so pair up your new blushes and lip products with surprisingly high quality brushes at an unbelievable, unbeatable price.
E.L.F.’s Natural Radiance Blush in
Innocence was a shockingly subtle, baby pink that blended smoothly with both my fingers and brush and whose sweet sugary scent has lingered through the day. I think its soft color doesn’t dominate my freckled face, but highlights my cheekbones and is the perfect shade for my fair skin tone.
But wait! Not only fair maidens will benefit from this true pinky hue: bronzed babes will be able to really give themselves a healthy radiant glow with this fun, and like all E.L.F. finds, inexpensive, treat by working it under the line of their cheek bones.

Now this is one of the only foundation basics I received in my huge and decadent delivery from E.L.F. It is a small little guy, but at only a dollar, who can really complain about quantity? The quality appears to be pretty impressive. I caught a nasty summer's cold a few days
ago, and after sneezing and blowing for most of this morning, my nose still has an even and warm glow, rather than a cherry red radiance. I give this bite-sized, dark-circle-camouflaging, confidence-saving concealer an A+. Let this one dollar deal play stowaway in your clutch or backpack so that you are armed and ready for any adventure that comes your way.

Some things are just too good to be true. For example, finding a one dollar substitute for my favorite, kinda pricey, MAC bronzer.
This morning I snapped out of my discount beauty haze when I recklessly started to powder my face with E.L.F.'s Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Lumincance. I quickly noticed that my face looked more like a disco ball than healthily luminous. Not only was I shiny, but I was a very neon gold, which under certain lights people would describe as funked-up, rather than funky-fresh.
I prefer my bronzers to make me look like I'm right off the plane from a Carribean holiday, rather than Dot Matrix from Spaceballs. So next time, I'll save my spare buck for an after-work happy hour Pabst, and not waste it on this offensively bright bronzer.

*~<...im just me...>~*
I really want to try ELF, but I have so many nail polishes, lipsticks, eye shadows and stuff on my dresser that I can't even justify another purchase. *sigh* However, I did try ELF's nail polish remover pads. I was greatly, greatly disappointed, and it was recommended by several fashion magazines. I have a tendency to wear dark colors and one pad couldn't wipe away the color on my big toe much less all ten toes.
I love to use E.L.F.'s Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder ( I forgot what color it was ) as eyeshadow on minimal make up days. I've had little success with their eyeshadows, but I should try them out again.
Sigh......E.L.F. how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. 1,2, 3, 4 orders in less than a month. Can you tell how much I love this stuff? Another good buy is the body care line and the new mineral eyeshadows. ADDICTED!
HAHA thats awesome. I just ordered a bunch of stuff from them last night. I was gonna do a blog on. Way to snatch it. Haha, high five.
